Singer/Songwriter and Author Bindu Subramaniam is the daughter of world famous violinist Dr. L Subramaniam. In addition to studying Carnatic music, she has also learnt western classical singing and piano. She has a master’s certificate in Songwriting and Music Business from Berklee Music, a Master’s degree in Law and an MPhil in Cultural Studies and Music. As a songwriter, she was a finalist for the Unisong International Song Contest in the Performance Category and received an Honourable Mention at the Billboard World Song Contest.
Violinist Ambi Subramaniam has been performing from the age of six with his father and guru, the legendary Dr. L Subramaniam. Although his focus is on carnatic violin, Ambi also sings. He has passed with distinction the Associated Board of Royal Schools of Music’s violin, piano and theory exams. Ambi has an MBA in Finance and an MPhil in Cultural Studies and Music.
Kanchana S. Shruthiranjani

Shruthiranjani teaches carnatic violin and vocal at SAPA. Born in an illustrious musical family, she learnt vocal and violin from her father, Kanchana Sri. V Subbarathnam. She learnt the art of singing the avadhana pallavi from her maternal uncle Sri. R S Nandakumar. She served as one of the faculty in the famous Lakshminarayana Sangita Kala Shala Samsthe in Dakshina Kannada for over 10 years.
Hari teaches carnatic violin at SaPa. Since 2005 he has been learning carnatic violin and music theory from Dr. L Subramaniam. Hari is also a writer, translator, designer, and polyglot.
Carnatic vocalist Roopa Srikanth is a B-High Grade Artist at AIR. She was given the ‘Best Musician’ award at the annual competition conducted by Gayana Samaja and she also secured second rank in the vidwat exam from Karnataka Secondary Exam Board. She is also an electrical and electronics engineer.
Raghunandan Berkadavu started learning music from the renowned guru Sri Kanchana V Subbarathnam at the age of seven, and has won a number of inter-collegiate and state music competitions. He has performed on television and for many concerts around the state. He is well versed in Carnatic vocal, devotional and light music..
Guitar and Music Production
Popularly known as the lead guitarist and backing vocalist for Folk rock band Swarathma, Varun Murali has been an instructor and educator for the last seven years. In addition to performing and teaching, Varun is also handles production and recording for his band and other bands that he produces. Varun endorses Gibson guitars (USA), Sennheiser audio gear (Germany) and Orange Amplification(UK).
Piano & Keyboard
Cajetan Dias is a music director, arranger and programmer, who has worked extensively in the Kannada Cinema Industry. He has worked with the biggest names in the industry, and films that he has worked on have won awards like the the Filmfare and National Award. He has won the Best Konkani Music Arranger Award twice and the Karnataka Yuva Catholic Ratn. He has been an educator for over fifteen years.
T N Ramesh
Mridangam & Konnakol
TN Ramesh started learning mridangam from Vidwan TAS Mani at age nine. He won several prizes even as a young boy and started performing when he was 14. All India Radio has recognized him as a B-High grade artiste in mridangam and an A grade artiste in ghatam. He has accompanied several leading musicians and has given performances around the world.
Abhinav started learning Carnatic violin at the age of 10 in Mumbai. He has given many performances in the last decade as both lead and accompanying artist. He has also recorded violin for a few short films and documentaries. Since 2008 he has come under the guidance of Dr. L Subramaniam.
Mohan Shiva Ramakrishnan
Shiva began learning the violin at SaPa in 2011. He received his initial training under Srilatha Rao, a senior disciple of Dr. L.Subramaniam. He continued his learning under Hari Ravikumar and currently is receiving lessons from Mrs.Shruthiranjani.
An architect by profession, Shiva also teaches violin for beginners at SaPa.
